How does it work?

Our system takes the ideas used by traditional telecommunication providers and tips them on their head. The system and its requirements are simple, robust in design and elegant in functions and features.

PABX (Private Automatic Branch Exchange) - This part of the system is NOT located in your office. It is located in a secure pair of data facilities which is supplied with redundant power, data and telephone lines. It is in an environmentally controlled room with restricted access. This means that you phone system is not prone to failure due to loss of power, loss of an internet connection or someone digging through your phone line. It also means that you are not responsible for programming, updating, maintaining or configuring the unit.

The PABX is needed so that incoming calls can be greeted, routed to extensions, record messages, handle outgoing calls, transfer calls, conference calls etc.

Data Connection - Although this is your responsibility, re recommend that if using an ADSL service and intending to have more than phones connected, you should opt for a separate internet service just for your phone system. Clients with a fiber service tend not to need a separate connection.

Handset - there are a choice of handsets but ultimately they all do the same thing: make and receive calls. Because they are a IP based phone (they connect the same was as your computer) they are reliant upon an internet connection to work. This means that they can be positioned anywhere there is a reliable internet connection. Each handset comes with a minimum of two lines. If you have three phones, you would have six usable lines to make and receive calls on. As you add more phones to the business you automatically increase the number of lines available.

Now this is where the system will start to deviate from a traditional system...

When you sign up for our phone system, your number is transferred directly to the JollyTel network. This means that you can take it anywhere you like. Exchange boundaries are no longer an issue.

Calls can be automatically routed any way you like.

Need to project a presence interstate? We can arrange interstate numbers that allow your clients to call you at local call rates.

Staff out on the road or meeting with clients? If you have either employee Blackberry or iPhone devices then your staff can receive their voicemail from their desk phone direct from their mobile device. Voicemail is delivered via email and is in a WAV format.

Click to dial is available for Firefox users. Find a number online and simply click it, you phone will ring with an outgoing call.

What can the Jollytel phone system do?
